When I first understood my life's purpose, I was a bit agitated. My agitation stemmed from the fact that while I enjoyed helping other people identify, accept, and use their gifts.…I also had a lot of gifts and talents that I wanted to express. However, I'd spend the larger part of my day-to-day time, working on other peoples’ lives, brands, projects, ideas etc., and hardly had time to get my own projects or plans out the door. I would deal with the voices in my head that reminded me of all the people whose dreams I had been a part of building, and received little to nothing in return. It was like being in a vortex. What sort of crazy person dedicates their lives to solving other people's problems and interpreting their dreams, at the expense of their’s?
I'd say to God.....”Errmmmmm...Hey God..if I could prioritize my own projects, I would be churning out some really amazing stuff. I mean...just give me like 1 month of my own work: I'd film a web show, shoot vlogs, build an app, drop an album, execute my community service projects, write more books, and all of that good stuff....Just give me 1 month of "Me" time.” Why does my Job have to revolve around helping other people fulfill their purpose, and become successful on their journey?!!!!! What a Job!
Now, I think about it much differently. I've learned that just like Joseph...for each dream I interpret, I get closer to accomplishing my own dreams. It is by giving, that I become all that I am truly meant to be. I may not have all the time to work on my personal projects, but I know that by executing the assignment that God has given me, He will take care of the rest. I also do not believe that I've got nothing in return for helping others. The reward may not come from the people, but God has been gracious and merciful. I can't even begin to share all the things He does for me. When God gives you an assignment, perform your responsibilities with HEART. He will sort you.
Today, I want to say a big Thank You to the helpers in my life who have recently been instrumental to getting some of my work out there. Thank you! Thank you!
Ps: This week, we’re shooting the video for “All I Need,” the first single off of the #HeartCheckAlbum Project. We’ve got the production team, equipment, and venue sorted. If you’d like to contribute to food/refreshments for our 21-man crew, please feel free to donate via this link (click)
Gracias.

Currently experiencing God sorting me out with some things I really want as I spend my time on the assignment he has given me.
