In the past, I used to say that I'm doing my work for God. Each time I did something good, I'd say "I'm doing this for God." Until I learned that when God gives an instruction, it is not because He's asking for it to be done for Him. It is for us, for the world, for His Kingdom. Whenever the story of Noah is told, it is assumed that God told Noah, "Build Me an Ark." But that's not what God said. God didn't need to survive the flood, so...He definitely didn't need an ark. It was Noah who actually needed the ark. What God said was, "Make yourself an ark."Â
So now when I say I'm doing it for God, the context is this: Yes, I do my work through the power of God, in the sense that He equips and enables me. But...He doesn't need my help. He is doing it for me, and for His people.Â
Many people misunderstand what it means to "Do for God." God has given us a Blueprint for our lives, for the future of Humanity, and Kingdom.Â
Purpose is not about God calling us to do His work because He needs us. He didn't call us for that. That’s your ego speaking to you. We really think that God who made man from the dust of the earth, and breathed galaxies needs our help?Â
God calls us to participate in His work as we will, not so that we can solve issues on His behalf, but so that we can teach and empower and love and be conduits for what He is already doing - basically, He will do it with or without us. The offer is there for us to participate, so that we can enjoy the brilliant experience and rewards that come with it. Our job is to align with His plans.Â
So, no...I'm not doing it "for God," I'm doing it for me, and the world. But it is FROM God.Â

Impactful. Yes! I'm doing it for myself.
