Hard work doesn't pay off.
We’ve all heard the saying, “Hard work pays off.” The real question is: who does it pay off to? Sometimes your hard work pays off to everyone in your life, except for you. It pays to your family, your friends, your office, your landlord, the tax man, your religious place. I think that working hard on what you’re passionate about, is where the real pay-off occurs. Many people spend their entire life working hard on the things that need to maintain the status quo/keep things together. In the process, there’s a ton of resentment, lethargy, discontentment, and anger.
When we shift from just working hard, to working hard on what makes us come alive, the pay-off is massive: internally and externally. Because in truth, when you feel good, you produce good - the output is incredible.
What do you really want, but are afraid to say out loud?
Think about it.
Feel it.
Work hard at it.
Have a super beautiful week!
